Event #2 Results: $40 Freezeout [February 11th]

Event #2 is in the books and fellow poker-host Peter Kliber won in his first ever NMP Entry.

Three of the four final players were first-time players in Event #2. First-timer Jake Hoosline finished as the bubble boy which means that he is awarded free entry into Event #3. North Metro Poker's first-ever winner Todd Kampa made another deep run finishing in third, and as a result retains his early season points lead.

The final hand of the night between Peter Kliber and Vern Moen occurred after Peter made the second-nuts straight on the river as Vern made his two-pair. Vern was first to act and after thinking for a minute or so, moved all-in. Peter thought for a couple seconds while checking that he indeed had the straight before he instantly called. The final board read J5396, Peter showed 24 and Vern showed 65.

With 13 entries, Peter took home $249 as top prize. The next tournament is scheduled for March 3rd at 2:00 pm.
